Community colleges are continually exploring ways to improve upon the academic and employability outcomes of their students. In this paper, we offer preliminary findings from a formative and summative evaluation of PluggedIn and WorkReady, a fast-paced, short-term program in advanced manufacturing with multiple embedded career, academic, and personal supports. Attendees will a) gain insight on effective short-duration programming for community colleges and b) learn about directions for future research.
